Event Cost All tickets can be purchased VIA EVENTBRITE. -Military Vehicle owners will be welcomed free of charge!!
Age: This event is open to all participants aged 18 and up. IDs will be checked upon arrival and no one under 18 will be admitted for any reason. Parental waivers nor supervision are authorized.
Weaponry: This event will be a mix of airsoft and blank fire weaponry. Blank fire weapons have a minimum safe distance of 20 ft and will not be able to be used indoors. Blanks may not fire a real round but they can still hurt someone if fired too close. FPS rules for airsoft weapons: -400 fps w/ .25 gram bbs for rifles -450 fps with .25 gram bbs for support weapons
WOUND CARDS: For this event we will be using a wound card system. Each wound card will have one of three outcomes; Dead, Medic aid, and Buddy aid. When you are hit you will pretend you are actually shot and fall to the ground. There is no removing of your helmet and sitting down to talk with your buddies. We are reenactors so be sure to actually ACT it out!! Once you are down take out your wound card and find your fate. If wounded be sure to take your evacuation serious. This event is not about winning but is about the immersive experience. Make your buddies or medic work hard to get you back to your squad and bring realism to those around you.
-Death Card: This card is just as it sounds, you are dead. Meaning you must lay on the battlefield without talking or moving (Death groans/cries, or slight movement allowed). When either the battle has moved past you or you have been recovered by your fellow troops is when you may rejoin the battle.
-Medic Aid: This card means that you have been wounded badly and need immediate medical aid. Lay on the ground and begin to call for a medic/sani. You may yell to your comrades or scream in pain and again movement should be very limited. You may pick a wound site for the medic to treat and you must be evacuated properly to the rear before rejoining your squad.
-Buddy Aid: This card means that you have a minor wound and can be patched up by any bandage you carry on your person. It is important that participants bring a bandage of some sort with them for their buddies to patch you up with. If treating a buddy be sure to use their bandage and not your own! Once you have been treated you must then be evacuated properly for your wound to the rear before you may rejoin your squad.
Ammo and Magazines: All BBs must be biodegradable! Magazines must be mid or low capacity magazines. NO HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINES!!
Hydration: Being that this event will take place in October the weather could be hot or cold. With that being said make sure to bring plenty of water with you to the event and find something period to put it in whether it be a Jerry can or even a ammo box. Be sure to start hydrating heavily a few days prior to the event. With that being said there will be NO HEAVY DRINKING allowed at this event. Some vodka being passed around comrades is no problem but when it gets to excess is when problems can arise. With the heat and constant movement we cannot take the risk of someone being dehydrated and having heat stroke. It is also a benefit to other attendants because the dehydrated soldier will not fight for 3 hours then pack up to go home. Many people are driving long distances to attend so please hold off on the alcohol until after the event and get the most out of your time this weekend!
Sportsmanship: I cannot stress the importance of sportsmanship at this event enough. We are all working hard to create a new immersive experience for ourselves and our comrades. This is not an "us vs them" mentality and if you think this is going to be a run and gun type of event so no “I hit you!” yelling is allowed. This event will focus on life on the line, running patrols, scouting and securing objectives in a realistic fashion. This event is designed so that participants get out of it what they put in. We are all friends with a common interest in history and immersion, so lets act like it!
Prisoners of war: POW taking is allowed at this event and encouraged. If your squad is almost wiped out and you find yourself being overrun feel free to surrender to enemy forces. You are representing a soldier just trying to fight for his country and go home to his loved ones. There is no hiding weapons to be used once captured or throwing last ditch grenades. This is not call of duty and should be treated with maturity and not fanaticism. If you have to carry modern items and do not wish them to be searched If taken prisoner please place these items in your TOP LEFT POCKET as to avoid any confusion.
Being that this is an invite only event I do not see any problems arising from this crowd due to the maturity level and like mindedness of those in attendance. That being said, these rules are being put up to avoid any confusion and make sure that everyone is on the same page. Let's make this an event to remember!
FOOD & WATER: This property does have on site water but it is still a good idea to bring a gallon or two of water just in case. It could be cool this time of year but hydration is still very important. Make sure you bring enough water for hydration, cooking, and cleaning. Participants should also bring period rations for during the battle. The event will continue the entire 24 hours so food must be portable and able to be eaten in a combat environment.
CAMPING: - Soldiers are recommended to sleep in foxhole positions on the line. - There will be a rear line area to set up tents and a warming area in case of inclement weather Pyrotechnics: TAG Rounds, Pea grenades, and other commercially produced pyro is ok for use at these events but will be inspected during the safety brief. No projectiles are to be fired at vehicles (mortars, bazookas, rockets, rifle grenades, etc.) without permission of vehicle owners. Non-projectile simulated fire (charge only) may be directed at vehicles and officials will judge if the vehicle was hit. Non-direct fire projectiles (lobbed projectiles such as mortars and rifle grenades) must be reviewed before being allowed at the event. NO FIREWORKS! OTHER RULES AND REGULATIONS: There will be NO calling hits on the battlefield by any one other than umpires. If you shoot someone who refuses a hit, report it to an event officer. We will allow no arguing over not taking hits. This site is vehicle friendly so vehicles are encouraged to attend. Destroyed vehicles will return to the assigned area and only return after the prescribed length of time. Vehicles with limited driver visibility must also have accompanying ground troops in communication with the driver to prevent any collisions with reenactors. There will be NO arguing with event officials. No non-period uniforms, weapons, or vehicles allowed. Units will be required to de-farb if needed. A safety inspection reviewing blanks and any other weapons will take place before hostilities on Friday night and Saturday morning.
