Level 1 Mandatory Gear
Primary Weapon
M16a1
-Airsoft rifle preferred but blank adapted M16a1s will be allowed in a limited number
-Recommended brand for both variations is G&P which sells for $199 on redwolf airsoft
OG-507 uniform
Long sleeve preferred; short sleeve modifications acceptable if no others can be found
420th Engineer Brigade patch sewn to left arm
US ARMY tape above left pocket, extended to edges of pocket
Name above right pocket.
Tapes should match in material but are not required to match.
Tapes may be stamped or embroidered
Ranks pinned to collar. Sewing optional but discouraged.
Other insignia worn will only be that which was genuinely earned in military service.
Green t-shirt worn with 507s.
Hot weather hat will be worn with 507s with pinned rank.
Black openface belt will be worn with this uniform. Shirt will be tucked in.
Jungle boots will not be worn in 507s
Woodland BDU Uniform
Early 1980s contract (1981-1984) twill acceptable. Ripstop had only recently been approved as a
private purchase piece. Wearing of ripstop will be on a case-by-case basis only.
Same insignia rules as 507s.
May be worn with brown or green t-shirt. Green encouraged.
Jungle boots may be worn with BDUs

1970s/1980s chincup chinstrap must be used.
Helmet cover will be transitional woodland cover from late 1980s. early BDU covers acceptable,
but not preferred. Mitchel covers may be used by individuals on a case-by-case basis
Foliage band must have cat eyes on it
Rank will be pinned to cover

LC1 or LC2 Belt
LC1, LC2, M67, or M56 suspenders may be used
LC1 or LC2 Ammo pouches, x2
LC1, LC2, or M67 canteen pouches, x2. Try to not match them. Canteens will be correctly dated
and have black chem caps
Compass pouch with pressure bandage upside down on left shoulder (Unit SOP)
Trifold shovel with correctly dated rubber carrier
Buttpack for authorized individuals
M7 bayonet
Canteen cup inside canteen pouch
ALICE Rucksack
Medium ruck on LC1 or LC2 frame, LC2 straps, LC1 or LC2 waist belt and pad
2 quart canteen clipped to outside
Reflective tape on frame that is visible when ruck is grounded. Name written on tape
Wet Weather bag inside for clothing items
